Spray compounds have many of the same refractory properties as casting compounds and are suitable for large surfaces, e.g. walls and ceilings, and do not require formwork. The injection masses are typically not as resistant as molding compounds, but new masses are constantly being developed where the properties are developed. The masses are installed with a sprayer with compressed air, and the water is added at the spigot. The spray compounds are divided into the same groups as molding compounds, i.e. the traditional compounds are typically for repairs, low-cement and non-cement spray compounds are for the demanding tasks. Spray compounds can also be supplied as insulation and used behind a denser and stronger wear lining.
